Dłonie – posiada je prawie z każdy człowiek na naszym globie. Dzięki nim tworzymy przeróżne rzeczy i historie. Codziennie używamy ich jako narzędzi do życia i tworzenia. Zapominamy jak bardzo są charakterystyczne dla każdej jednostki, ile potrafią wyrazić, zdradzić – obnażyć jaki osobami jesteśmy… Ich ekspresja często jest nie do ukrycia.
W czasach, gdy opanowaliśmy do perfekcji pokerową twarz, dłonie stają się naszym drugim zwierciadłem emocji. Stają się kolejnym elementem do portretowania człowieka.

Niezwykle trudne do oddania, czasem bardziej niż twarz. Zainspirowały mnie do eksperymentu, w którym portretuję różne cechy ludzi. Jakie to cechy? Czasem takie, z którymi się utożsamiamy, czasem takie, o których chcemy zapomnieć i nie chcemy dopuścić do swojej świadomości, że mogą również być cechą naszego charakteru.

W różnych kulturach przeróżne gesty mają dane znaczenia, jednak w tym cyklu skupiam się na pokazaniu charakteru ponad kulturowymi symbolami. Przedstawienie ich na obrazach daje mi możliwość pozbycia się cech kulturowych, płci, podziałów ekonomicznych. Pozostaje jedynie cecha człowieka, z którą możesz się identyfikować, sprawdzić, ile z niej jest w Tobie.

Hands – nearly every person on Earth has them. Thanks to them we create many different things and stories. We use them every day as tools to live and create. Every day we forget how lucky we are to have such an efficient instrument that makes it easier for us to function. We also forget how characteristic they are for an individual, how much they can express, betray – expose what kind of people we are… Their expression is usually impossible to hide. In times when we mastered it to perfection to have a poker face, hands become our second reflection of emotions. They become yet another important element to portray a human being.

Extremely hard to capture, sometimes even more than the face. They inspired me to make an experiment in which I portray different human traits. What kind of traits? Sometimes the traits that we associate with ourselves, sometimes those we want to forget about and not bring into awareness that they might be also our personal traits..

In different cultures different gestures have given meaning, but in this cycle I want to focus on showing personality beyond cultural symbols. Painting hands gives me an opportunity to get rid of cultural traits, gender and economic divisions. Reciver has only character trait to check how much of it is in reciver persona.
